Women Making Waves: Chrissy Lundgren

It’s not secret that I love a good women crush.

Whether it’s on the red carpet, a workout warrior or just my latest obsession, I am here for the ladies.

And after loving them from afar, I’ve decided I want to bring my lady loves to you, so without sounding like too much of a stalker Stan, I am excited to introduce my new Women Making Waves feature.

With so many great females doing big things, why not take time out of blabbing on about myself to showcase the women who inspire, motivate and support me back?!

So here it goes – my first Women Making Waves post – Chrissy Lundgren of

Tell us a bit about yourself!

My name is Chrissy. I was born and raised in Michigan. I moved to LA 12 years ago. I was a competitive ballet dancer throughout my life and went on to dance for several amazing people, Boyz II Men and Enrique Iglesias to name a few. I started acting and booked several commercials and movies but realized that fitness was my passion. I started taking my fitness career to the next level. I’ve been the head trainer at Tracy Anderson Method as well as Body by Simone. I knew I was still missing something within my career and I needed to start my own company to share my method and passion. That’s when Burn it Off by Chrissy was born. I’m so proud of it and want to keep growing the company and myself as well!

What’s your zodiac sign?

I’m a Leo.

What inspired you to start your business?

Working for other fitness companies left me feeling unsatisfied because I couldn’t give clients the individual attention I thought they needed to help them reach their goals. I started the website because I wanted to be accessible to everyone who has fitness goals, rather than just the people that live nearby. With the website I’m always available to anyone, anytime they need me.

What’s the hardest part of being a Boss Babe? The best part?

The hardest part of being a Boss Babe is that you’re not in control of your own hours. You have to go with the flow of everyone else’s schedule. If I’ve been awake since 4 a.m. and a client wants to workout at 8 p.m., I have to gear up and be ready for them when my body wants to be done for the day. The best part of being a Boss Babe is helping my clients achieve their goals. Whether it’s just listening to them vent about life or helping them reach new fitness goals, it really feels great. They feel empowered which, in turn, empowers me.

What’s the biggest message you want to share through your platform?

The biggest message I want to share is that working out and feeling good about yourself, inside and out, should be fun and easy. You deserve time for yourself to focus on just YOU! Your body is your temple and you need to take care of it. So whether you log in to the site, head to the gym or hike outside – you’re focusing on being the best version of yourself.

Best piece of advice you can give up and coming Boss Babes?

The best piece of advice I can give to upcoming Boss Babes is to have an amazing team behind you. You are only as good as your support system. I thought I could do everything on my own but I was wrong. It’s very tough to keep schedules straight and keep commitments when you’re overwhelmed. I realized that I needed help. As a Boss Babe you have to really give it your all. It’s hard but so worth it! Live your passion!

Do you have a daily mantra or affirmation?

If you live your truth, fuel your passion, and love what you do then you won’t work a day in your life.

How would this Boss Base describe herself?

I would describe myself as a down to earth kind of babe. I love to laugh with friends. I love to learn from others and the world itself. I practice what I preach. I speak and live my truth. I’m extremely loyal and I expect that in return. I work hard and love my job! I really want to make a difference in people’s lives and in my own. So I try to give the best version of myself to everyone.

I’m really excited about my website. It’s a new platform for me and I really want it to have an impact on the fitness community. I train producers, directors, actors, moms, business men and women from all over and I would love to share it with the rest of the world as well.

I was asked to be a part of Andres Izquieta’s weight loss challenge. I accepted and I was so honored. He came to my gym and I worked him out for an hour. As soon as it’s posted, I’ll share the hour but he said I, “gave him the hardest and best workout he’s ever had.” That made my day. I’m currently training Emma Kenney (Shameless, Roseanne) and she’s looking fantastic. I’m so proud of her hard work and the results!

Thanks for taking the time to speak with me, Chrissy! Be sure to check out and follow her on Instagram here.
