Set Fire To Rain

The rainy weather didn’t stop my sister & I from having a wonderful weekend in NYC. I was certainly happy to have my last minute addition of Hunter Boots packed as the first couple days proved to be wet & windy.

Luckily, we didn’t let this slow us down as we made our way up to New York’s Flatiron District to experience a food lover’s Disneyland, aka Eataly. I was in Heaven as I sauntered through this edible oasis and in a rare treat, the man himself, Mr Mario Batali, was in the building filming an episode of The Chew.

As personable and delightful as he is on TV, the acclaimed chef & restauranteur happily agreed to snap a shot with me. I was on Cloud 9 and I swear I was thisclose to tears as he sped away after filming his segment…escaping true to form: on his Vespa. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip and a moment I will dream about for nights to come.

While I’m still reeling from my month on the road, I am excited to be home and eager to begin preparations for this weekend’s Canadian Thanksgiving celebrations.
