RCYC Toronto

imageI had the absolute pleasure of spending my Monday evening at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto. It was the perfect evening for a boat ride and a night on the water and some of the city’s most fashionable friends joined me. It was great to experience a slice of what life is like for members on the island and it’s clear to see why the  RCYC’s island property is truly a jewel of Toronto.

GP1_0654imageThe club boasts world-recognized sailing programs (I am super interested in joining the ladies sailing club) but I could not believe that less than 50% of members sail. But it makes sense seeing as everything from tennis, to canoeing, to swimming, and standup paddle-boarding (even lawn bowling!) is available on the island. You could literally spend your whole day getting lost in activities there.imageI had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back — the island property isn’t the only place I’m eager to checkout. Members have access to the RCYC’s city property located at 141 St. George Street and there are numerous social activities even during the winter months. There really is something for everyone and kids of all ages, young and old. If you ever have the opportunity to check it out I suggest you do — it’s a summer staple!
