MC Canadian Tuxedo

As you know, I’m having fun with MasterCard playing host and showing y’all how I live in the King West neighbourhood. As a Stylicity blogger one of the perks is obviously playing dress up, which is why I was all for it when we were asked to style our version of the Canadian Tuxedo for a little contest (well it’s a HUGE contest ~ details below).

If you’ve checked out the blog before, you know I am a HUGE fan of denim on denim. I wanted to spruce up my usual look so I added a simple black blazer with a bold golden crest and a classic statement necklace. As we learned this year, thanks to Jenna Lyons, leopard is a neutral, so I felt quite appropriate tying up my timeless look with a lovely print pump.

Don’t you just love how these two tones of denim are slightly similar without looking like a one piece (I own one, my friends are not happy about it)? By juxtaposing the lighter denim fades with a strong black blazer, I think it really gives the casual look a fancy, regal element and creates a trendy look turned classic; perfect for Sunday brunch or zipping around on errands.

Now the fun part: show us how you style your Canadian Tuxedo and Instagram or Tweet us using the hashtag #Stylicity. You’ll automatically be entered to win a $2000 MasterCard Prepaid card. That’s a whole lotta Stylicity people.

Check out the full details here and get gussied up Canadian Tux styles to participate!
