Getting Real Reel

Ok so I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts for A WHILE. It’s no secret that content’s been light here (and Insta) and I have not been feeling myself. Today I’m getting real reel and sharing why.

To be honest, I didn’t have a major hesitation in sharing the below but I knew that when I was re-evaluating the blog and what I wanted to do, that I wanted to have new direction when I eventually shared this post.

So here we are.

You know I’ve been focused on the podcast over posts and #OOTDs. I love styling looks and sharing with you but I felt I was losing a sense of purpose with each post.

I wanted to bring you content that was enjoyable or meaningful beyond where to buy an article of clothing and what that content would look like I still wasn’t sure.

So I took a step back and just sort of lived my life.

I loved podcasting and remained pretty focused on that while on this journey of self-discovery because I knew that I had to allow myself an opportunity to reflect.

And determine if I was going to continue blogging or if I was going to phase it out.

I realized that as I have always said, I will never be able to give up the blog.

Seriously, I’m going to be in a hospice writing posts because it is truly something that brings me joy and I am obsessed with engaging with my readers, sharing my story with you and hopefully providing advice along the way.

Which is where the podcast organically went right? – sharing my story and what I’m up to and hopefully connecting you with cool people with interesting stories and offering advice to your questions.

Funny enough, where we are now and where I’d like to shift focus has developed in an ultra-organic way that I wasn’t expecting.

I could have never, ever thought that my talking about my guilty pleasure via Twitter and Instagram Stories would snowball into the opportunities that I’ve received and are coming around the corner.

To be frank – I’m talking about Reality TV. And I don’t consider it a true guilty pleasure because to be honest, I don’t feel guilty about it.

I love watching Reality TV. It’s how I unwind, it’s what I enjoy and I could talk about it all day. My bio at work references my love for celebrity gossip and D-list celebs are my niche.

So I am thrilled to get the feedback from you that you appreciate my Reality Reels and that we can connect and discuss these crazy shows and find substance in such insane situations.

To sum up I needed to take a break and reassess what I was doing and why I was doing it.

I will still be bringing outfits, fast five and fitness content but I wanted to also lighten up and talk about the things that you have actively reacted to in such a positive way – THANK YOU FOR THAT!

You have opened my eyes to share something that is so fun for me and ultimately reignited the spark that’s been missing from my work for a long time.

So we will also be sharing Reality TV recaps of all your favorite shows (like The Bachelor franchises, Real Housewives, Big Brother and more) which you can now find in the Reality Reel tab and you’ll see the Podcast content start to blend more into the blog content there and vice versa.

I also want you to know that I will still be developing Lifestyle posts where I will still be talking travel, testing fad detoxes and providing more beauty content through video.

I am excited for the first time in a long time you guys! And I cannot wait to see how this goes and the new challenges and opportunities that it brings.

So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I love you for sticking with me and connecting with me and the feedback that has allowed me to be true to my path.

I am so grateful and appreciate it more than you.

Now we wait for the Fall shows to start and the imalittle show to go on.

Here’s to the next chapter – thank you for starting it with me, xx!
