Beauty Fashion

fall or nothing beauty.

with the introduction of fall please allow for about 20 or so posts using the word fall in a pun-like manner. that’s my tiny disclosure for today.

happy short week everyone! i had a fab birthday weekend filled with wonderful dinners, good conversation and too many bevvys to warrant flying to vegas on thursday.

i did however pick up a pair of brilliant birthday shoes {think SPARKLE} from Zara that will enhance every outfit i pair them with from now on & will work oh-so-well with a set of black cashmere socks as the weather cools down.

i started my september going through e-mails & discovered a fun Look Book by Pat McGrath of CoverGirl. discussing trends for F/W she offers tips & product suggestions to achieve this new seasons best looks.

favourites include “Flushed, Blushed Cheeks” showcasing perfect skin as a backdrop to a pink, youthful flush & “All Or Nothing Nude Lips” ~ i love love love nude tones on the lips and though i’ll miss the bright colours of summer, a matte nude is always understated elegance in my mind. i’m going to have to test this trend with CoverGirl’s natureluxe gloss balm in clay. this colour is perfect for my skintone and offers spf 15 protection which we all know we still need through each season.

i leave you with the video below from Prada’s A/W 2011 Campaign. it is a wholly perfect example of what Ms. McGrath sees trending this fall.

isn't it amazing how such simple lines can have such a dramatic effect? there is truly nothing like classic lines with fantastic fabrics.
