Floral Frenzy

I have an unhealthy obsession with flowers. To quote a major cliche, “fresh flowers bring life to a home,” and it’s no surprise that having them in full bloom all around the house, add a vibrant touch to any space. I love adding floral accents, especially during the winter: flowers make a room seem complete and remind us (while it’s FREEZING) that there is something to look forward to very soon. I recently spent a Sunday scouring the web for…

Office Options

It seems that each time I move, my hardest design challenge always ends up being creating an office space. Now perhaps this is my sub-conscious telling me that I’m too delicate to work for the rest of my life, but in the event that reality continues as is I think it’s time I create an inspiring and welcoming work space in my new home. My biggest goal (and thrill) of a redesign this time around, is to make it as feminine…

Last Little Look.

This weekend’s St. Patty’s Day festivities have got me thinking green. Earlier this year, Pantone named Emerald it’s Colour of 2013, but I still can’t get enough of this gorgeous mint tone. There’s something about the soft palette of pastels that is incredibly calming and I automatically associate its airiness with spring. While the weather is still playing catch up to my senses, I’m happy to daydream in shades of mint green, periwinkle blue and and peony pink. It is…

Holiday House Envy

Listen, it is the holidays and so I have to be honest, but these photos are a complete repost from of my favourite online sources of inspiration: Lark + Linen. Jacquelyn is an incredible up + coming interior designer in the city, who curates the most beautiful blog and oh my goodness I could gush for days. I love her stuff. What can I say? I was just doing my usual peruse of her site the other day and came…

Office Space: La Mer Collections

I can’t recall just how long ago I fell in love with La Mer Collections watches. But I do remember the moment: I was enamoured with this rocker chick, gold-studded, black leather-banded goodness while flipping through an issue of People Style Watch. I’d like to say January 2009…specifically because I had just received a Michael Kors watch over the Christmas 2008 holiday & despite my better judgment of not needing another new watch (who am I kidding), I went out, searching…

Country Oasis

I don’t know what your idea of a good time is, but mine involves a glass of wine, my couch and Architectural Digest on my laptop. I’m not too sure when my love for decor really came to be (actually I know exactly when it did but that’s a different story) but I could spend hours looking at interiors. There’s something about floor-to-ceiling windows encasing a unique space, designed so intricately by someone much more talented (and wealthier) then myself.…

Style At Home – Limited Edition Collection

Style At Home is a staple in my monthly magazine pick up. I really should look in to subscriptions for the amount of magazine purchases I make. I love a number of their features and recipes but most of all I enjoy that the various design themes they showcase seem achievable in my own home. This is the very reason I was thrilled when I came across the magazine’s new Limited Edition Collection for the home. From the bedroom to…

New York City Living

There is something about the energy in New York City that overwhelms me when I arrive. I can’t really put my finger on it with a valid description: I get nervous & intimidated and to be honest I live in fear of getting mugged with every turn of a corner. You’d think I was isolated from city-living for the 20+ years of my life, but we all know that’s not the case. While I cannot figure out this feeling, each…

Living in B & W

I spent last night with a few of my favourite girlfriends, meeting for a big event I’m working on (more to come soon). Our serious meeting turned in to an impromptu housewarming complete with sushi & wine (important to have these things close by & on hand!) and we took some time to admire the dazzling design of my friends’ new condo. …
